Our Most Pinned Images From Oct 2020

The top 10 list of pics this time has me most unusually surprised. Usually, a few weeks before Diwali, a lot of our most pinned images are pics of festive and party decor ideas. Surprisingly, just a couple of weeks before Diwali this time, and there isn’t a single festive decor image in our top 10.

Yet, the top 10 most pinned images from Oct 2020 are beautiful and inspirational. Many of the pics on this list are those that I pinned because I used them for inspiration while working on a project. So I can fully relate to why so many of you would have pinned them too.

Let me share them with you..

Ten

At number 10 we have this beautiful door from or post on 12 Terrific Door Design Ideas.

What I love so much about this door, other than the black and wood combination which is an all time fave, is the mix of materials. The sleek, modern, black powder coated metal is a beautiful contrast against the rusticity of the wooden planks used on this door. And the combination is simply charming.

This beautiful headboard image was such an inspiration to us when we were designing our Wood And White Boy’s Room. The client and I both loved it instantly, and the main bed wall of this boy’s bedroom has been designed with this image in mind.

We are so glad we picked this image because the room has turned out even more beautiful than we expected. We still have to shoot this project, and I promise to bring the end result to you very soon!

Eight

At number eight is this pic from our post on 11 Guest Room Essentials That Make Happy Guests.

One of the easiest things to forget when you pack your suitcase are your daily toiletries. So one of the items in our guest room essentials was a thoughtfully stocked guest bathroom. Make sure you keep soap, shampoo, tooth paste and extra toothbrushes in case your guest forgets to carry his. Also stock basics such as extra towels and toilet rolls so that your guest doesn’t need to ask for these.

This post is great to book mark as a checklist for when you are setting up a room for a house guest, so remember to go through it and save it on your favourites bar for a quick check when required.

Seven

Here’s another image which was inspiration for our Wood And White Boy’s Room, to have made it to our list of most pinned images from Oct 2020.

The TV wall in this room is a column. Which meant we couldn’t pass all the TV wiring through the wall. Therefore, we needed a panel to be built on the wall, which can conceal all our wiring. The concept was a little difficult to explain to the client in words, and so we shared this image with him to explain what we planned to do.

He was happy to go along, and I will bring you the end result soon!

Six

We used this pic as inspiration for the study area of our Teen Bedroom.

We had a small wall on which we needed a study area and large storage to take care of all their paraphernalia. This pic seemed like a perfect way to fit in both.

Five

This simple image from our post on 7 Ways To Make Big Space In Your Small Bathroom is one of my favourites too.

The simplicity of the idea is what has me totally floored. This basic wooden shelf tucked into the corner of the bathroom not only looks lovely but also provides storage space for so many extras in this little bathroom. Easy to execute ideas like these are always a win!

Four

This inspiration image for our Moody Teen Bedroom makes it to number four on this list.

Our teen wanted an all grey bedroom. I wanted to add wooden accents to it to add some warmth. He was happy to let me do that after seeing this pic. You can click here to see how well that turned out!

This pretty grouping of lights from our post on How To Glam Up Your Home With Accent Lights continues to make the top 10 since the last time.

Don’t you love the striking pattern created by the simple placing of lights on the wall?

Two

At number two, we have yet another inspiration image from our Wood And White Boy’s Room.

We used this one to convey our colour selection for the room to the client. Wooden furniture in an all white room, with black accents to give it a young and modern look. Once again, I can’t wait to show you how our room turned out.

And finally, at the top of our list of most pinned images from Oct 2020, is this attractive vignette from our post on 17 Exciting Gallery Wall Items.

I did a complete set of posts on gallery walls, starting with this one on what are the various items you can use to make a gallery wall. Gallery walls don’t have to be only about artwork, and this cute collection of hats does well to prove that point.
