I remember writing this post last year, during the first lockdown, and thinking what an unusual Mother’s Day that was going to be. And that we would never have a Mother’s Day like that ever again. But a year later, it seems we’ve come back full circle. And I’m once again writing this post on Mother’s Day gift ideas, sitting at home during lockdown.

51 Amazing Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

I firmly believe now, as I did then, in our strength and ability to survive. And that as with all things, both good and bad, this too shall pass.

In the meanwhile, another Mother’s Day coming up, and there’s never a good or bad time to celebrate moms, is there? But sitting at home and sending her a gift with the click of your mouse is certainly a safe way to do it.

So coming up, some lovely mother’s day gift ideas for you. This time I have a few pretty finds from some of my favourite, go-to, online stores. Let’s get started.

Fab Furniture

These are small furniture pieces that can easily fit into most homes. They are a great way to give gifts that are both beautiful and useful.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

1 – Floral Table – A small side table is such a useful addition to most spaces. Use it to keep books, your cup of coffee, bedside knick-knacks, your feet up while you read or as a planter stand. Or all of the above as the need arises!

2 – Bronze Leaf Coffee Table – The shape, size and colour of this table should help it fit in to most decor schemes. That it’s made of metal means it can be used as easily in an outdoor balcony as inside the home itself.

3 – Brown Magazine Rack – A simple, piece that can be quite useful. I use magazine racks in my studio to organise all my files.

4 – Wooden Bench – I especially love the bottom rack, which so increases the utility of this bench. You could use it in a foyer or entryway, as additional seating in your living room, or even a little bench at the foot of your bed.

5 – White Chakki Table – This would naturally fit into the decor of an eclectic, ethnic or bohemian space. But I would also love to use it as a single quirky element in a contemporary space, to break the monotony and add some zing.

6 – Boheme Storage Ottoman and Stool Set – Soft pastels with that pretty fringe and beads.. this would be equally lovely in an eclectic or contemporary set up.

Delicate Decoratives

Though this list could have been endless because there are honestly a zillion beautiful things available, I picked only a few that instantly caught my eye and made me want to get them right away.

7 – Antique Blue & Gold Mirror – The long, unusual shape makes it ideal to fit on a long, narrow wall space. This would also work wonderfully in a pair, on both bedside tables, for example.

8 – Gangaur Wall Mirror – That delicate cutwork is made to dazzle. Also love the tea light holder at the base. I can only imagine how beautifully the light would reflect off the mirror and sparkle around the home.

9 – Wall Mounted Victorian Bell – The vintage charm of a piece like this can never grow old.

10 – Hiranya Table Lamp – A contemporary, striped design in a vintage brass finish, these lamps will never go out of style. I own a pair myself and love their rich presence in the room.

11 – Pods Table Lamp – Love that this lamp is bright and beautiful without being over the top. You could use it with a colourful, patterned shade to make it a showstopper with a maximalist vibe. Or use a simple, neutral shade to add subtle colour.

12 – Blue Handcrafted Mirror – This beautifully carved piece would certainly up the decor of any space. Also, I love the way blues go easily with more colours than any other colour.

Chai – Nashta

You can never go wrong with pretty serve ware, can you?

15 – Cherry Blossom Tea Set – Pretty pastel colour and delightfully delicate design.. a great gift for a tea lover.

16 – Aasma Lassi Glass – And when it’s too hot for tea, nothing like a cold lassi, nimbu pani or fruit juice in this brassware.

18 – Tea Strainer With Rest – Such a useful add on to your tea tray if you enjoy leaf or green tea.

19 – Teapot With Infuser – A ceramic infuser on top to gently brew your tea and a stand with a tea light below to keep it warm while you sip it.

24 – Anise Stirrers – The nature inspired, almost fragile design is simply lovely.

25 – Traverse Water Jug – The bold, black strokes would make this jug catch your eye in an instant. A great addition to your bar or your dining table… or even to hold a bunch of fresh flowers.

Garden Ware

Another mother’s day gift idea that you can’t go wrong with. If mom loves her greens, she’ll love these gifts anyway. If she doesn’t, one of these will probably get her started, and then she’ll love her greens and thank you for introducing her to a whole new wonderful world.

26 – Dachshy Metal Planter – This is an all in one for dog lovers, plant lovers, colour lovers and pattern lovers!

27 – Sabai Grass Cloth Basket – Love the gauzy effect of this one. All these baskets are useful not only as planters, but also a great place for stashing toys or extra towels / throws / cushions, depending on the size.

32 – Adrut Planter – This table top, ceramic planter helps add height to your little plants.

33 – Moon Shadow Glass Vase – The delicate glass in the exquisite shape with just the right touch of gold make this one a winner.

34 – Duck Noris Watering Can – How cute is this piece? I would buy plants only so I could use this to water them!

35 – Pachy The Elephant Metal Planter – Another cute and quirky piece from the animal planter collection, This one is great for adding height to the plant.

Light It Up

Candles are forever. But I have recently started lighting incense sticks at home every evening at sunset time. I love the gentle fragrance and feeling of calm it leaves in the home. And so I have also included a few incense stick holders in the collection below.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

36 – Farhat Fumer – This brass piece makes for stunning table decor as is. It would look ethereal as the wispy fumes of the ‘dhoop‘ escape through the cutwork.

37 – Black Buck Votives – These tea light holders have an ethnic, rustic charm to them.

38 – Anar Incense Stick Holder – The natural veining adds a tenderness to this solid, brass coated piece of metal. Comes with a set of 12 incense sticks.

39 – Leaf Incense Stick Holder – Handcrafted ceramic leaves to make this delicate beauty.

40 – Idris Candle – Don’t you just love that metal box you’ll be left with once the candle is burnt out?

41 – Eden Candle Holder – A gold stem with gold tinted glass.. a shimmering candle in this would truly add the golden glow.

42 – Arthur Candle Holder – In the same style as Eden, I think the two make a stunning pair.

Around the Home

And finally, a collection of little things that brought a sparkle to my eye and a smile to my lips when I saw them.

43 – Photo Clip String Light – Ok, honestly. How many thousand times have you seen this before? And yet, doesn’t it still make you smile and want one when you do?

44 – Bonsai Tree Lamp – Delicately pretty with a soft, gentle glow, this lamp would be perfect to brighten up any dark corner, or even a bedside table. It’s battery operated, so can easily be placed where there is no plug point.

45 – Jewelry Box – This small box would help to organise the tiny pieces of jewelry in your wardrobe and would be easy to carry along when you travel. Also.. it’s just too cute!

46 – Nirvana Bookends – Aren’t these just oozing with elegance and grace?

47 – Shannon 2 Tier Vanity Organiser – A great addition to any dressing table or bathroom counter. Especially useful as the two tiers help make additional space if your counter top is small.

48 – Cheerful Tangerine Bouquet – I prefer these dried flowers to fresh ones simply because they last so much longer. You could use this anywhere, from a dining centre piece to your bathroom counter.

49 – Cactus Jewelry Holder – Isn’t that a cute way to put away your little trinkets?

50 – Necklace Stand – A pretty addition to your bedside or dressing table, to put away your chains / bracelets / earrings. It looks just as pretty as is, without any jewelry on it.

51 – Wooden Floral Candlestand – Just add a tea light and this magnificent candle stand is almost forever.

.

Fifty one stunning pieces. I think this is by far my favourite collection of mother’s day gift ideas so far. There are so many of these that I can imagine my mom loving and enjoying.

Probably because I’ve selected them all myself, I find it really difficult to pick one of these for mom. So I usually send her this post and ask her to pick her fave for me to send to her. Can’t wait to see what she’ll choose this year!

Though there are plenty and more mother’s day gift ideas here, you could also go through the previous posts if you are looking for more. Click right here for those.

I do hope you find just the right gift for your mom here. Let me know what you think would be her fave.

And have a happy mother’s day!
